The Catalan club Barcelona has asked the Spain national team not to use the young winger Lamin Yamal fully in the friendly match against Egypt. This was reported by the sports portal The Touchline.
According to the information, the “blaugranas” want to carefully prepare the young player for the game, as the team pays attention to Yamal’s health and systematic development. In addition, the main reason for this decision is the club’s recent experience: another Barcelona player, Rafinha, was injured in the match against France and was sidelined for approximately five weeks.
For this reason, the club held negotiations with the national team to ensure Yamal’s protection and to take precautionary measures to minimize the risk of injury to the player.
