Bernardo Silva has informed "Manchester City" that he intends to leave the club at the end of the season, according to Caught Offside. The 31-year-old midfielder, who also serves as captain, is reportedly nearing the end of his contract and could depart as a free agent.
The report says MLS side "Los Angeles" is currently seen as the main contender for his signature. At the same time, several major European clubs are also monitoring the Portugal international, including "Atletico", "Barcelona", "Juventus" and "Napoli".
Silva is said to want to remain at a high-level club while also protecting his current salary level. That could make the next stage of his career an important decision, especially after spending so many successful years in England.
The Portuguese playmaker has been with "Manchester City" since 2017. During that period, he has made 449 appearances in all competitions, scored 76 goals and won the English league title six times, becoming one of the key figures of the club’s modern era.
