Arne Slot: “Support from the club, fans and management is strong”

The head coach of Liverpool, Arne Slot, at the pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League game against Fulham, shared his thoughts about the support surrounding the team.

According to him, a high level of trust and unity is being maintained within the club. In particular, support has not weakened even after the heavy defeat in the Champions League. On April 8, the Merseyside club lost 0–2 to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.

Slot especially emphasized that the most important thing in this situation is the trust shown by the club. According to him, not only the management but also sporting directors Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards are fully continuing to support the team.

In addition, the coach separately highlighted the fans. He said that even after heavy defeats, songs on the stands do not stop, and supporters continue to give the team moral strength. He recalled that even after the 0–4 defeat against Manchester City, fans were singing “We love Liverpool”.

“We fully understand the situation, but I feel support from all sides,” Slot said, according to BBC.

At the moment, the main task for the team is to maintain psychological stability and prepare as much as possible for the upcoming matches. Slot’s statement shows that trust and unity around Liverpool are still strong.
