Sofascore, in turn, clearly stated its position and included these 6 goals as official records added to the player’s professional career. Thus, according to their calculations, the Portuguese star’s total goal tally has reached 967.
“This tournament has always been in our database. Therefore, these 6 goals are also included in his career statistics. According to our calculations, Ronaldo has 967 goals,” the portal’s statement reads.
At the same time, the platform also noted that it takes user opinions into account and will continue to closely follow Ronaldo’s historic journey toward 1000 goals.
“Until FIFA makes final changes, the calculations will remain as they are,” Sofascore added.
