Former Portugal national team footballer Deco expressed his opinion about the level of play of Saudi Arabia’s “Al-Nassr” club forward Cristiano Ronaldo and his professional approach.
According to him, athletes with such strong willpower and mental preparation as Ronaldo are extremely rare. Deco said the following: “There are practically no footballers with such a level of mental strength. For me, he was a person completely devoted to self-development. It is precisely this quality that turned him into one of the greatest players in the history of football,” Globo Esporte reports his words.
Ronaldo is maintaining high efficiency this season as well. Playing for “Al-Nassr,” he has taken part in 27 matches in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and providing 4 assists. These figures confirm that he is still in excellent sporting form.
Earlier, Deco noted that a talented generation is emerging in Portugal, but also emphasized that the country has not yet produced a second player of Ronaldo’s level, that is, a star comparable to Messi.
