Liverpool to pay 100 million euros for Yan Diomande

English club Liverpool has identified a suitable candidate to replace Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah. The Merseyside club is reportedly ready to take any necessary measures to secure the transfer of RB Leipzig striker Yann Diomande. The 19-year-old player is seen as the primary successor to Salah, who is expected to leave the team at the end of the current season. This was reported by Goal.com.
According to reports, concrete negotiations have commenced between Liverpool officials and Diomande's representatives. Since the Ivorian talent is under contract with the German club until 2030, his transfer fee is expected to exceed 100 million euros. If the deal is finalized, Diomande will become the fifth player in Bundesliga history to surpass the 100 million threshold.

The young forward has made 32 appearances this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 8 assists. French side Paris Saint-Germain and German giants Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in his services. However, the player himself has noted that he has been a Liverpool fan since childhood and that playing at Anfield is his ultimate dream.
Currently, Liverpool sits in fifth place in the English Premier League and is battling for a Champions League spot. The team improved its position following a 2–1 victory over Everton in the last round. Salah officially announced in late March that he would be leaving the club with one year remaining on his contract.
