Uzbekistan U-17 group changes: opponent withdraws from competition

A significant and unexpected change has occurred before the Asian Cup in which the Uzbekistan U-17 national team is participating. It has been announced that the North Korea U-17 team, scheduled to compete alongside our country in the group stage, has withdrawn from the tournament.
According to the official report released by the press service of the Football Association of Uzbekistan, this decision has resulted in a change in the composition of Group D. Now, Uzbekistan, Australia, and India will participate in the group.
Thus, the youth team led by Sergey Chigodaev will begin its participation in the competition on May 10 with a match against India. The next match will be against the Australian national team on May 13.
According to experts, the reduction in the number of teams in the group may affect the competition format to some extent. However, this situation does not simplify the task for the Uzbekistan team, as both opponents are well-prepared.
In short, despite the changes in the group, high results are still expected from our U-17 national team. Fans are closely following the performances of our young footballers on the Asian stage with great interest.
