In the 57th minute of the match, visitors' representative Carles Gil took advantage of errors in Inter Miami's defense, beat goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair and opened the scoring. After that the home side stepped up their attacking play. Following Luis Suarez's powerful strike, German Berterame netted the rebound and restored parity. It was Berterame's third goal of the season.
At the end of the match Inter Miami could have snatched victory, but the visitors' goalkeeper Matt Turner showed his skill in several dangerous moments. Also, a goal from substitute Tadeo Allende was disallowed by the referees due to a controversial offside. Next week the team will face their principal rival, Orlando City.
