Pérez has made a decision: Arbeloa may leave Real
In brief

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is reportedly set to dismiss head coach Alvaro Arbeloa this summer following a string of disappointing results. Despite internal debates within the board of directors regarding Arbeloa's future, Perez remains firm in his decision to appoint a new specialist for the upcoming season. Since taking over in January, Arbeloa has seen the club exit both the Champions League and Copa del Rey, while falling 11 points behind Barcelona in the La Liga title race. This potential managerial change marks the beginning of a significant restructuring phase for the Spanish giants as they look to regain their competitive edge.

At Real Madrid, as the end of the season approaches, harsh decisions are coming onto the agenda. It has become known that club president Florentino Pérez intends to part ways with head coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

According to journalist Jorge Picón, Pérez plans to bring a new specialist to the team in the summer, and his position on this matter is firm.

At the same time, there are also different opinions on the club's board of directors. Some members favour giving Arbeloa more time and leaving him an opportunity to fully prove himself. However, for now the decisive word remains with the president.

For reference, Álvaro Arbeloa took over the team in mid-January of this year, replacing Xabi Alonso. However, the results did not turn out to be at the expected level.

Under his leadership, the Madrid side were eliminated from the Copa del Rey in the round of 16, and from the UEFA Champions League in the quarter-final. In La Liga, the team is 11 points behind leader Barcelona, and the chances of winning the title are almost only theoretical.

In short, big changes are close at Real Madrid. If Pérez's plan is implemented, the club will once again take a step towards a new era.
