Carragher demands three new transfers for Liverpool's first team

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has voiced concerns about the team’s recent transfers and the performances of striker Alexander Isak. In his view, the Swedish forward, signed from Newcastle for £125 million, is failing to justify the trust placed in him. This was reported by Goal.com reported.
Isak managed only four goals in his debut season at the Merseyside club because of injuries and inconsistent form. Carragher also made no secret of his doubts about the player’s future even after his goal against Crystal Palace.

The pundit said the £446 million spent last summer did not deliver the expected results. Drawing on his own experience, he said players who arrive at Liverpool and fail to impress in their first season usually struggle to become stars later.
Although Arne Slot’s side are virtually certain to qualify for the Champions League next season, they need a major squad overhaul. In particular, replacing Mohamed Salah, who is expected to leave at the end of the current season, remains the main task.

According to Carragher, the club must buy three top-level players who can go straight into the starting lineup, rather than five or six average footballers, this summer. That would give Liverpool a chance to compete for major trophies again.
