Bavaria officially withdraws from paying 65 million euros for Jackson

Bayern Munich has officially declined to exercise the €65 million buyout clause for Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson, with club officials concluding that the striker's performance does not justify the high valuation. While Jackson’s agent defended the player's contributions to their Bundesliga title win, management remained concerned by his lack of impact in high-stakes matches against top-tier opponents. Meanwhile, former winger Kingsley Coman has voiced his support for Bayern in their upcoming Champions League semi-final against PSG, even as the squad faces injury setbacks with Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof ruled out of the first leg.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said the club would not exercise its option to buy Chelsea-loanee striker Nicolas Jackson for 65 million euros. After this decision, the player’s agent, Diomansi Kamara, reacted on social media. Goal.com reported.
In his post, Kamara praised Jackson’s performances this season, noting that he scored 10 goals in 28 matches, reached the German Cup final and won the Bundesliga title. However, the club management believes the player’s output does not match the 65 million euro price tag.

According to statistics, most of the Senegalese striker’s goals were scored after coming off the bench in matches Bayern won comfortably. Jackson also spent the entire match on the bench in major games such as the Champions League quarterfinal against Real Madrid and the cup semifinal against Bayer.
Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman, who has moved to Al-Nasr, said he would support his former team Bayern in the Champions League semifinal. Although he is a product of PSG, he said he has a closer connection with the Munich club and would support his friends.

Bayern also has absentees. Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof are expected to miss the first leg of the semifinal against PSG because of muscle injuries.
Both players plan to return to the squad for the second leg.
