Bayern Munich employee Kathleen Krüger could become Hamburg sporting director

Kathleen Krüger, the head of the organizational and infrastructure department at "Bayern" Munich, is considered one of the main candidates for the position of sporting director at "Hamburg". This was reported by Sport Bild and Hamburger Abendblatt. Goal.com also reports on this.
According to Sport Bild, Krüger has the best chance of securing the position. Hamburger Abendblatt notes that she will be introduced to the public soon.
"Hamburg" is searching for a new sporting director following the departure of Stefan Kuntz.
The club hired a specialized agency for this process, and they contacted Krüger. The 40-year-old former footballer was initially included in the shortlist and then made it to the final list.
Other candidates included Sebastian Kehl and Klaus Costa.
Kathleen Krüger has been working in the "Bayern" system for 22 years. She played for the club from 2004 to 2009, later serving as an assistant to the sporting director and as team manager.
In 2024, she was appointed head of the organizational and infrastructure department. If she moves to "Hamburg", she will become the first woman to hold such a position in the Bundesliga.
