Carrick assesses United's victory and talks about the Champions League

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick shared his thoughts following the dramatic 3-2 victory over Liverpool. The specialist assessed the match as an important test for the team.
He noted that throughout the match, the "Reds" made the right decisions in many situations and acted according to the plan. "Overall, the game went well. In many episodes, we were able to conduct ourselves correctly. After the break, the landscape of the game changed slightly, and we made some mistakes, but that is a natural part of football. The most important thing is that we secured the victory in the end, and feeling the atmosphere in the stadium was a special pleasure," Carrick said in an interview with the club's press service.
The coach also expressed his views on the team's return to the Champions League. In his opinion, this is certainly a positive result, but the team's goals are even higher. "This is a very good achievement, but we do not want to stop there. To be honest, there has been no specific conversation with the players about qualification — if you achieve enough victories, the result will come on its own," the Manchester United manager added.
At present, the Mancunians are in 3rd place in the English Premier League table with 64 points. The team aims to maintain this position and achieve even higher results by the end of the season.
Overall, Manchester United's current form and morale indicate that the team is striving toward major goals.
