For "Como" head coach Cesc Fabregas, the English championship is no stranger. The years spent there have left a deep mark on the specialist's heart. Fabregas emphasizes that the English Premier League (EPL) is the most attractive competition in the world, not only for a player on the pitch but also for a coach and a regular fan.
Cesc says in his interview: "This league is unrivaled in the world. I have always acknowledged this. In football, events change rapidly: you might be at the top today, but everything could be the opposite tomorrow. For now, my full focus is on 'Como'."
A lesson learned from Mourinho: A long road ahead
Fabregas recalled the advice he received from Jose Mourinho in the field of coaching. During his time at "Chelsea," the Portuguese specialist told him that he has the potential to coach for at least 30 years.
"If we rely on Mourinho's words, I still have a very long road ahead of me. Perhaps, after working in Italy for another 10 years and gaining experience, I will eventually return to the EPL. Time will tell what the future holds, but for now, one must enjoy every moment," says Cesc.
Coaching credo: Creativity is more important than results
Fabregas, when speaking about his work style, specifically noted that he does not work just for the numbers on the scoreboard. For him, football is art and emotion.
"I work the way I feel. Coaching just for the result is not my style. I have my own views and values," he explained his philosophy.
