Arsenal midfielder Christian Nørgaard has officially announced his retirement from the Denmark national team. The 32-year-old player stated that he made this decision after the national team failed to qualify for the next World Cup. This is reported by Goal.com .

The player noted that the desire to spend more time with his family and the need to make way for young talents in the national team were the main factors in his decision. According to him, Denmark head coach Brian Riemer placed great trust in him, but he now prefers to continue his journey solely as a fan.
Christian Nørgaard recalled the victory against Portugal in 2025 as one of the brightest moments of his career. He played his final match for the national team against the Czech Republic in March.
