Wayne Rooney: Viktor Gyokeres is the key factor in Arsenal's success

Wayne Rooney believes Viktor Gyokeres has completely transformed Arsenal's attacking line. The former England captain highlighted that the Swedish striker's movement and physicality are crucial in creating space for the team's wingers. This is reported by Goal.com .
Gyokeres, who joined Arsenal from Sporting CP for £64 million in the summer transfer window, found his form after initial difficulties. He has now scored 21 goals in all competitions, placing him alongside legendary players like Thierry Henry and Ian Wright.
Speaking on SkyBet's The Overlap, Rooney defended the striker and specifically praised his ability to distract defenders. According to him, Gyokeres occupying opposing defenders allows players like Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze to operate more freely.
Although Erling Haaland is the clear leader in the goalscoring race, Rooney predicts that the Swedish forward's tactical importance will be a decisive factor for Arsenal in their title pursuit. If Arsenal win the Premier League and Champions League, it will be largely due to Gyokeres' contribution.
