According to Sport Bild, a recent interview by Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß has caused significant dissatisfaction for midfielder Konrad Laimer. In this interview, given ahead of the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain, Hoeneß expressed sharp opinions regarding the Austrian player's status and financial demands at the club. As reported by Goal.com reports. it

Although Hoeneß described Laimer as a hardworking and important player for the team, he rejected his salary demands, stating, "Konny is a great player, but he is not Maradona." He also compared Laimer to Harry Kane, openly stating that the player's position in the club's salary hierarchy is limited.

The club's management intends to tighten its financial policy following expensive contracts signed with Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, and Alphonso Davies. However, this public criticism has further complicated negotiations between Laimer and the club.

According to Sky, Laimer's representatives, who initially requested a salary of around 15 million euros, now want to bring the total package closer to 20 million euros, including bonuses and signing fees. This situation is meeting strong resistance from Bayern's leadership, and the disagreement between the parties is becoming more serious than expected.
