Bayern News: Michael Olise turns down millions

Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Michael Olise has made an unusual decision regarding his boot sponsorship. According to L'Equipe, a close friend of the player stated that he has no boot contract and is not interested in one. For Olise, the freedom to choose comfortable footwear on the pitch is more important than the millions a contract would bring. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
For comparison, his teammate Jamal Musiala earns approximately 6 million euros per year from his deal with Nike. Michael Olise, however, is voluntarily giving up such a large sum to maintain his independence. This is a very rare occurrence in modern football for a star player of this caliber.
Meanwhile, the club is also dealing with a contract issue involving Konrad Laimer. The Austrian utility player's current deal expires in 2027, but the parties have yet to agree on a new one. German football legend Lothar Matthäus has urged the club's management to keep Laimer at the team at all costs.
In an interview with Sky, Lothar Matthäus praised not only Laimer's skill as a right-back but also his strong mentality. According to him, Konrad Laimer embodies the Bayern spirit—dedication and energy. It is reported that the delay in negotiations is due to the player's high salary demands.
