The Lewis family announces Tottenham will not be sold

The Lewis family has broken their silence following a disastrous Premier League season, confirming in an open letter to fans that they have no intention of selling Tottenham. Despite the North London club finishing 17th for two consecutive seasons and teetering on the brink of disaster, the owners insist they will do everything in their power to turn the situation around. This is reported by Goal.com .
The message to fans acknowledged the massive failures of recent years. The 2025-26 season was particularly difficult, with the team barely avoiding relegation thanks to a 1-0 victory over Everton on the final matchday. "As owners for 25 years, we have experienced all the ups and downs with Spurs. 17th place does not reflect the stature and potential of this club. We feel the same disappointment as you," the statement read.
Despite fan protests against ENIC and the owners, the Lewis family has put an end to rumors about selling the club. They stated that the focus is not on an exit strategy, but on a long-term rebuilding process. The statement promised financial support to renew the squad and infrastructure: "We are not selling the club. We will continue to invest. Our goal is to restore the club's spirit and play fearless football."
Structural changes have already begun at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Daniel Levy, who had been the primary decision-maker for nearly 25 years, was removed from his position as chairman in September. This move signifies a shift in power and indicates that the Lewis family will now play a more active role in overseeing the club's strategic direction.
Concluding their statement, the owners admitted that the problems at the club were deeper than they had anticipated and that this had damaged the trust of the fans. "We take full responsibility for the situation and promise to rebuild Spurs," the club owners added.
