Former Manchester United midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba shared his thoughts on why Cristiano Ronaldo might not succeed in coaching. According to him, the Portuguese star gets frustrated too easily, which could be a hindrance to a managerial career. However, Djemba-Djemba did not rule out Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford in a different capacity. This is reported by Goal.com .
Although he is approaching 41, Cristiano Ronaldo has no intention of hanging up his boots. He continues to perform at a high level for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr and aims to reach 1,000 career goals. Djemba-Djemba noted that he is not surprised to see him still on the pitch at this age, as he witnessed his relentless work ethic since he was 17.
“I cannot imagine Cristiano as a coach because he is someone who always wants to be at the top, every single second. He gets angry very quickly. I think a director role suits him better. He could be much more effective in a decision-making role within club management,” Djemba-Djemba told GOAL.
Previously, another former Manchester United player, Danny Simpson, expressed a similar opinion. He believes Cristiano Ronaldo was unhappy with the way he left the club and could return at an executive level in the future to help make the “Red Devils” a great team again. For now, the forward is considering options like playing alongside Lionel Messi in MLS or becoming a club owner after retirement.
