PSG players to play for one million euros in Champions League final

PSG players will take the pitch in the Champions League final not only for a prestigious trophy but also for a significant prize pool. The Parisian club will face Arsenal in the decisive match on May 30.

According to L'Équipe, if PSG wins the competition, each player will receive a bonus of approximately 1 million euros. A similar reward system was in place last season, when the Parisians defeated Inter 5-0 in the final to become Champions League winners.

It is noted that the bonus structure was discussed at the start of the season, as is common at many top European clubs. Team captains Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembélé, and Vitinha participated in negotiations with the PSG management.

At the Parisian club, prize money is primarily tied to major achievements. While bonuses in the French league are paid only for winning the title, the main reward in the Champions League is also granted only if the trophy is secured. Funds allocated for reaching the quarter-finals or semi-finals are considered relatively symbolic.

The club management's position is clear: the primary goal for players should be trophies, not money. For this reason, large bonuses at PSG are strictly linked to winning the title. The final against Arsenal will be another historic opportunity for the Parisians.

In short, if PSG wins the Champions League, each player will receive a bonus of approximately 1 million euros. However, the club emphasizes titles over money. The final will be played in 'maximum mode' both in terms of sport and motivation.
