iPhone 17 and 17 Air to feature downgraded displays

iPhone 17 and 17 Air to feature downgraded displays
According to Rozetked.me, insider Fixed Focus Digital has revealed new details on the upcoming iPhone 17 series via Weibo.

While all iPhone 17 models are expected to feature high refresh rate displays, only 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will get true ProMotion panels with dynamic refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz.

Meanwhile, iPhone 17 and 17 Air will receive LTPS-OLED displays, which lack dynamic refresh capabilities — resulting in higher power consumption and no content-based refresh rate adaptation.

As usual, this also means no Always-On Display for the base models, since Apple reserves that feature for devices with LTPO screens only.
