Apple, which annually draws significant interest in the tech world, is preparing once again to substantially transform its flagship product — the iPhone smartphones. According to recent information appearing online, the company intends to significantly enlarge the display size of the basic iPhone 17 model, expected to be introduced in 2025.
The internet user Digital Chat Station, renowned for insider information, reported on their page that the display diagonal of Apple's new smartphone would increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. Notably, this source rarely errs in its forecasts, making the reliability of this information highly credible.
To recall, the last time Apple changed the main iPhone model's screen diagonal was in 2019. Back then, the iPhone 11’s display expanded from 5.8 inches to 6.1 inches. Since then, smartphone dimensions have remained unchanged.
It is mentioned that a similar update was received by the iPhone 16 Pro presented in 2024. Its display was primarily enlarged by thinning its bezels. Therefore, it’s highly probable that the bezels around the screen of the new standard iPhone model will also become thinner.
The expected models of the new iPhone 17 series will likely have the following dimensions:
- Main iPhone 17 – 6.3 inches;
- iPhone 17 Air (or Slim model) – 6.6 inches;
- iPhone 17 Pro – 6.3 inches;
- iPhone 17 Pro Max – 6.9 inches.
