Apple is expected to unveil its new iPhone 17e smartphone in the spring of 2026. This was reported by South Korea’s “The Elec,” citing insider sources. According to the report, the new device will be part of Apple’s main “e” series and will be updated annually. This differs from the irregularly updated iPhone SE models.
Reportedly, iPhone 17e will be part of the iPhone 17 lineup and built on the OLED display used in previous models like the iPhone 16e and iPhone 14. Apple is thus continuing to equip its budget models with high-quality screen technology.
According to The Elec: “Apple is planning to launch an entry-level iPhone 17e with an OLED display in the spring of 2026. The panel will be reused from the iPhone 16e.”
It is still unclear whether iPhone 17e will have a 120Hz refresh rate. However, according to some sources, iPhone 17 may become Apple’s first base model with a 120Hz display.
The main iPhone 17 series, including the Pro and Air versions, is expected to be released in September 2025, while the iPhone 17e will arrive in spring 2026. With annual updates to the “e” lineup, Apple aims to strengthen its position in the budget smartphone market. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
