Air receives $23 million to develop drone taxi

Air, a company focused on eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft, has secured $23 million (approx. 290.7 billion UZS) to support its U.S. expansion and advance its flying car innovations, according to TechCrunch.com.

The funding will help commercialize and bring to market its eVTOL developments, including its two-seater prototype called “Air One.”

Air plans to begin deliveries of the vehicle in 2025 and use the funding to expand production capacity in the U.S. and accelerate certification processes.

The company sees this as a major step toward becoming a leader in the global eVTOL market.

The investment round included backing from Terra Venture Partners and Harmony Partners.
