Nvidia stopped production of H20 AI chips

Nvidia has ordered to stop the production of H20 AI chips. This decision was made after Beijing called on Chinese companies not to use these chips for security reasons, reports TechCrunch.

The Chinese government recommends using local chips and has warned of the risk of "backdoors" that could allow access to sensitive information in the US. This news came a month after Nvidia and other companies were allowed to sell chips in the Chinese market.

A Nvidia representative told TechCrunch, "We will continue to manage the supply chain according to market conditions. Cybersecurity is very important to us. There are no backdoors in Nvidia chips and customers can use H20 chips with confidence."
