Hackers attacked the Kido kindergarten network in the United Kingdom. A group called Radiant claims to have obtained personal information about children and staff. They are threatening to reveal more information if no payment is made.
Photos and birth dates of some children have been posted online. Staff passport details have also been leaked.
Experts say there is little direct risk to the children. Police advise not to pay the hackers. The group has admitted they are doing this only for money.
Parents are advised to change their passwords, monitor personal information, and report suspicious messages. The incident shows the need to strengthen cybersecurity in educational institutions.
