Elon Musk announced a new online encyclopedia as an alternative to Wikipedia — the Grokipedia project, Rozetked reported. According to him, this will be a “significantly improved” platform compared to Wikipedia.
The project will be implemented by the private artificial intelligence company xAI. It is being created in response to Wikipedia’s “one-sided, censored” policy. Musk aims to provide a wider selection of sources for articles in Grokipedia.
Former bankers and investors have also joined the encyclopedia idea. For example, Jon Lefevre complained that sources like Fox News are blocked on Wikipedia. Investor David Sacks criticized the regular editing of articles.
Musk has not yet disclosed when Grokipedia will be launched.
