Microsoft released the Windows 11 25H2 update

Microsoft has released the next annual update of the Windows 11 operating system — version 25H2, Rozetked reported. Previously tested in the Release Preview channel, this update is now being rolled out to all users via Windows Update.

The update is being distributed as an enablement package — that is, a small activation package — and it includes all the features of the previous 24H2 version. Since both versions use a common code base, new features will be updated for both at the same time every month.

The main changes in 25H2 relate to security: tools have been added to increase the safety of code writing with artificial intelligence and to detect complex vulnerabilities. In addition, outdated PowerShell 2.0 and WMIC components have been removed from the system.
