Hackers target wealthy crypto holders
Hackers linked to North Korea have stolen more than 2 billion dollars from wealthy cryptocurrency users this year. This equals about 13% of the country's gross domestic product.

Previously, they attacked cryptocurrency companies, but now they are targeting individual users. Experts explain this by their weaker security systems.

The stolen funds are reportedly being directed to North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs. The biggest attack occurred at the ByBit exchange, where 1.4 billion dollars were stolen.

Experts say the total damage could be even higher because some attacks have not been made public.
