Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram messenger, spoke about the EU's plan to control private messages, emphasizing that this poses a serious threat to the privacy of French users.
He emphasized that the EU requires all messengers to verify personal correspondence and turn user devices into a tool for controlling.
"Today, the European Union has practically eliminated your right to personal inviolability. They are preparing to vote for a law that mandates the scanning of all personal messages," Durov wrote on his X social media page.
According to him, such an initiative threatens not only the security of personal data, but also democratic values.
