Scientists came to an interesting conclusion through a new study - when artificial intelligence is "fed" with low-quality content, its thinking and moral ability significantly decreases. This was reported by Wired.
Experts from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M, and the University of Perdue studied two different neural networks and compared their results. The first model was trained on the basis of popular posts on social networks - short videos, brainstorming, and sensational content.
According to the analysis results, the cognitive abilities of AI trained with such "low-quality food" decreased. His level of reasoning deteriorated, his moral approach weakened, and even signs of a "psychopath" appeared.
Experts emphasize that it is very difficult to completely overcome this situation with subsequent retraining. According to Junyuan Hong, Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore, once "brain decay" begins, even further pure education cannot fully restore it.
