Apple has released the first beta version of iOS 26.2, arkatelcom.am reported. The update was made available to developers immediately after the release of iOS 26.1. This beta version introduces new features for Reminders, expanded Liquid Glass settings, as well as improvements in the Apple News, Podcasts, and Health apps.
Main new features in iOS 26.2 Developer Beta 1:
• The option to adjust the transparency of the Liquid Glass window on the lock screen has been added. Users can choose a “clearer” or “matte” look for the clock and notifications.
• The Reminders app now allows for the creation of full-fledged tasks with alarms. When setting the “Urgent” flag, the system begins a countdown on the lock screen with quick actions for “Complete” and “Snooze”.
• The Apple News app interface has been redesigned. The update focuses on personalization and quick access to collections.
• The Podcasts app has received AI-based features: automatic chapter creation, links to referenced shows, and improved navigation.
• The sleep assessment system in the Health section has been updated, making it more accurate and user-friendly.
