A new direction has emerged in the USA, combining human memory and technology. Canadian actor and screenwriter Kalam Warsey developed an application called 2wai - which offered the ability to create digital copies of deceased people and communicate with them through artificial intelligence. The Daily Mail reported this on November 14th.
The video shows a pregnant woman talking to an artificial copy of her deceased mother via 2wai. Over time, the "grandmother" tells the baby a fairy tale, communicates with the children when they return from school, and even talks about the birth of her grandchild. That is, the application virtually recreates moments specific to human memory.
To create a digital image, a three-minute video from the deceased's life is uploaded to the chatbot. AI uses this data to reconstruct a person's voice, facial expression, and communication style. At the same time, technology is causing many ethical disputes.
It is noted that the application will also be able to revive historical figures, such as Shakespeare or Henry VIII.
Previously, it was reported that an autonomous robot kitchen had been launched in Germany, and Zurich scientists, after five years of research, created medical smart socks called Leia.
