Game creator Toby Fox has shared the clearest update yet on when Deltarune Chapter 5 will be released: the new chapter will arrive in 2026. No exact date has been announced so far, but the official statement gives fans a long-awaited target. Previously, the timeline was uncertain, and many were even expecting it sometime this year. According to him, the team is finalizing the last details of Chapter 5 while simultaneously starting to plan the content of Chapter 6. He also shared documents related to dialogue translation and localization, showing that the texts are being adapted into multiple languages.
Since the previous chapters were released, Deltarune has built a large audience thanks to its signature humor, memorable characters, and a deep storyline that echoes Undertale. Steam ratings back this up: the share of positive reviews has reached as high as 99%.
With Chapter 5 getting closer, fans are one step nearer to the next continuation of the story. Early preparation for Chapter 6 also means the journey through the world of Deltarune is not over yet — Fox has promised new twists, new characters, and unexpected mechanics.
