OpenAI has announced the GPT-5.5 version of its most intelligent and intuitive model. This new generation of artificial intelligence is aimed at fundamentally changing the way we work with computers. The model is demonstrating high efficiency in writing code, conducting online research, analyzing data, and working with documents. This is reported by Openai.com reports .
GPT-5.5 is capable of independently planning and executing complex, multi-stage tasks. It achieved an accuracy of 82.7% in the Terminal-Bench 2.0 test and 58.6% in the SWE-Bench Pro test. These figures prove the model's significant superiority over previous versions in solving programming-related problems.
While the new model operates at the same speed as GPT-5.4, it delivers higher quality results while consuming fewer tokens. Currently, GPT-5.5 is available to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and business users. An API version of the model is expected to be released soon.
