Snapchat app launches new AI-powered advertising system

The social network "Snapchat" is launching "AI Sponsored Snaps," a feature that allows users to communicate directly with brands' artificial intelligence agents. Now, advertisements in the app's chat section will become not just announcements, but an interactive tool where users can ask questions and receive recommendations. Techcrunch.com reports on this.
According to company data, more than half a billion users have interacted with artificial intelligence since the chatbot was launched in 2023. Snap's Chief Business Officer, Ajit Mohan, noted that chat has now become a primary space where people discover products and make decisions in real-time.
The new format allows brands to establish connections with the platform's nearly one billion monthly active users. Preliminary analysis shows that such advertisements increase the number of purchases by 22 percent and reduce the cost per action by nearly 20 percent.
Currently, 85 percent of Snapchat users use the chat section daily. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, users sent more than 950 billion messages, demonstrating how promising this direction is for advertisers.
