Serial deliveries of Mi-171A3 helicopters to begin in 2026

Russia's Rostec corporation will begin serial deliveries of fully domestically produced Mi-171A3 helicopters starting in 2026. This was announced by the corporation's head, Sergey Chemezov, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
This helicopter in an offshore configuration has successfully passed all certification tests. It is specifically adapted for flights over large bodies of water and for the needs of the oil and gas industry, making it an essential piece of equipment for industry professionals.
Additionally, in 2025, Rostec tested two light helicopters equipped with domestic VK-650V engines: the twin-engine Ansat and the single-engine Mi-34M1. These aircraft are designed to replace imported analogs.
The Ansat helicopter is already actively used by the National Air Ambulance Service. The Mi-34M1 model was developed to compete with foreign Robinson and Bell helicopters, with serial production planned to start in 2027.
