Qualcomm introduces new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and 4 Gen 5 chips for budget smartphones

Qualcomm has officially unveiled its new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 mobile platforms. Both processors are manufactured using a 4-nanometer process and are aimed at significantly enhancing the capabilities of budget and mid-range smartphones. Reports Ixbt.com.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is equipped with an eight-core Kryo processor, with its four performance cores running at 2.6 GHz and the remaining four energy-efficient cores running at 2.0 GHz. According to the company, graphics performance has increased by 21%, and app launch speed by 20%. The platform supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and 5G networks, and allows for working with cameras up to 200 megapixels.
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 model has two performance cores (2.4 GHz) and six energy-efficient cores (2.0 GHz). This chip increases graphics performance by 77% and app speed by 43% compared to the previous generation. Additionally, it provides 90 FPS frame rates in games and is compatible with cameras up to 108 megapixels.
The new processors are enriched with special technologies such as Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, Qualcomm Frames Per Second 3.0, and Adaptive Performance Engine to enhance gaming experiences. The first smartphones based on these platforms are expected from brands like Honor, Oppo, Realme, and Redmi.
