xAI, the company founded by Elon Musk, has introduced new capabilities for its AI system, Grok. This update, called Grok Computer, moves beyond a simple chatbot, gaining the ability to interact directly with computer file systems and command lines. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
The new system can independently perform tasks such as reading, editing, creating, and organizing files, as well as installing software packages and running scripts. Grok Computer is capable of processing large codebases, analyzing errors, and fixing them in real-time.
Users can now task the AI with creating automation scripts or complex applications. The system not only writes code but also independently tests the results and resolves errors. Additionally, the integrated image generation feature allows diagrams and visual content to be saved directly to the file system.
As a reminder, it was recently announced that xAI would continue its operations within SpaceX and merge under the name SpaceXAI. Furthermore, the final version of the Grok 4.3 model and the Grok Imagine Quality Mode image generation feature have been released to users.
