NVIDIA invested $40 billion in artificial intelligence projects in 2026

NVIDIA is becoming one of the primary investors in the artificial intelligence ecosystem. According to CNBC, the company has committed over $40 billion to AI-related enterprises in the first few months of 2026 alone. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reporting states.

The majority of this investment, $30 billion, is directed toward OpenAI. NVIDIA also announced that it has made seven multi-billion dollar investments in large publicly traded companies. These include glass manufacturer Corning and data center operator IREN.

According to FactSet data, NVIDIA participated in two dozen investment rounds for private startups in 2026 alone. In 2025, the company completed 67 venture deals.

NVIDIA's investment in its own customers is being criticized by market analysts. Wedbush Securities analyst Matthew Bryson called these deals "circular investments," but noted that their success could help the company build a strong competitive advantage.
