Amazon launches 30-minute delivery service in the US

Amazon has taken its delivery speed to a new level. On Tuesday, the online retailer announced the launch of a 30-minute delivery service called “Amazon Now” in dozens of US cities. Through this service, customers can receive thousands of products, including fresh groceries, household items, and other daily essentials in a very short time. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

In the initial phase, the service was launched in Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Philadelphia, and Seattle. By the end of the year, Amazon plans to expand this convenience to cities such as Austin, Denver, Houston, Minneapolis, Orlando, Oklahoma City, and Phoenix. Products marked with the “30-minute delivery” icon on the Amazon app and website are eligible for this express delivery.

To implement this service, Amazon uses a network of smaller warehouses located near residential and business areas. This approach increases logistics efficiency compared to competitors like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Instacart. The delivery fee is $3.99 for Prime members and $13.99 for non-Prime members.

Udit Madan, Vice President of Amazon Worldwide Operations, noted that Amazon Now allows customers to receive products ranging from groceries to electronics like AirPods in less than 30 minutes. The company also continues to experiment with drone deliveries in under 60 minutes as part of its Prime Air project.
