Sony introduces the new Reon Pocket Pro Plus air conditioner

Sony has unveiled the new generation of its wearable climate control device. This compact gadget, called Reon Pocket Pro Plus, is worn around the neck and allows for effective body temperature management. Developed in Japan since 2019, this technology is now entering the European and US markets. This is reported by Ixbt.com news.

The main advantage of the new model is a 20 percent increase in cooling efficiency compared to the previous generation. According to the company, the cooling plate temperature can drop by an additional 2 degrees, providing the user with a greater sense of coolness in hot weather. The device's design has also been redesigned, featuring a flexible neck mount and an adjustable air exhaust channel that prevents hot air from accumulating under clothing.

The device contains two thermal modules and sensors that measure skin temperature. Users can set the desired temperature via a dedicated app or use smart modes that automatically adapt based on environmental conditions. The option to control the device without a smartphone, using buttons on the body, has also been retained.

The Reon Pocket Pro Plus battery is designed for approximately 15 hours of continuous operation. To further increase the system's accuracy, an additional Reon Pocket Tag 2 sensor has been introduced, which continuously monitors ambient temperature and humidity levels.
