A user on the X social network, @cprkrn, managed to recover a crypto wallet that had been inaccessible for over 10 years with the help of Anthropic's Claude AI system. The wallet contains 5 BTC, currently valued at nearly $400,000. This was reported by Ixbt.com reports .
The situation arose after the user changed the password while intoxicated during their student years and subsequently forgot it. Although they had an old seed phrase, it did not match the updated file version of the wallet. Over the years, they consulted experts and tried trillions of password combinations using various programs, but with no success.
After the price of Bitcoin exceeded $100,000, the user decided to try one more time. This time, they uploaded all documents, notes, and backups from their old computer to the Claude model. The AI system found the old wallet file and analyzed the data structure.
Claude identified a bug in the btcrecover software that was causing the key and password combination to be processed incorrectly. The AI fixed the code, corrected the encryption process, and extracted the private keys. As a result, the user regained access to their funds and, in their excitement, promised to name their child after the founder of Claude.
