SJ-100 aircraft with PD-8 engines could be delivered by late 2026

The delivery of Russia's import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft equipped with PD-8 engines is expected to begin by the end of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov. According to Ixbt.com reports.
According to Manturov, the PD-8 engines must be ready at the same time the aircraft's certification process is completed. Certification is expected to conclude shortly, after which the process of handing over the aircraft to the first customers will begin.
The exact delivery date depends on how quickly the aircraft registration and handover process to the customer proceeds. For this reason, the timeline may fall at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027.
The SJ-100 is a modernized version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100, developed to maximize import substitution in response to Western sanctions. As part of the project, nearly 40 foreign systems, including engines, avionics, and landing gear, have been replaced with domestic counterparts.
