China mobilizes all resources to land on the Moon by 2030

China has begun a large-scale reorganization of its lunar program. Beijing announced it will mobilize all resources to land taikonauts on the lunar surface no later than 2030. This was stated by Zhang Xinbo, spokesperson for the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), during a briefing ahead of the Shenzhou-23 launch. This is reported by news source.

The main change involves consolidating previously fragmented directions into a single integrated program. Now, the manned lunar program, the Chang'e series of automatic missions, and research on the Tiangong orbital station will be developed under a unified state plan. This will accelerate technology exchange between projects and shorten testing timelines.

The key elements of the program include the Changzheng-10 super-heavy rocket, the Mengzhou manned spacecraft, and the Lanyue lunar lander. Testing is currently in full swing: in 2025, the first stage of the Changzheng-10 rocket underwent hot fire tests, and landing systems were verified.

At the same time, unmanned missions are not stopping. This year, the Chang'e-7 automatic station and a lunar rover are scheduled to be sent to the Moon's south pole to search for water ice. Through these steps, China aims to take the lead in the space exploration race.
