Intel introduces Arc G3 processors for portable consoles

Intel has officially unveiled its new Arc G3 series processors, specifically designed for portable gaming consoles. The lineup currently includes two models: Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme. Technically, these chips are based on the Panther Lake architecture and differ only in configuration. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
Both processors feature 14 cores (2+8+4). The main difference lies in the graphics department: the base model is equipped with an Arc B370 graphics chip with 10 Xe3 cores, while the high-end version comes with an Arc B390 iGPU with 12 cores. Preliminary data suggests that the Arc B390 significantly outperforms the Radeon 890M graphics chip found in the Ryzen Z2 Extreme in terms of performance.
The new chips are manufactured using the Intel 18A process and feature XeSS 3 technology with frame generation support, Wi-Fi 7, and Thunderbolt 4 interfaces. This ensures high-speed data transfer and high-quality visuals on portable devices.
Intel partners plan to showcase their new developments at the Computex 2026 exhibition. The first devices based on the new processors—Acer Predator Atlas 8, MSI Claw 8 EX AI+, and OneXPlayer 3—are expected to go on sale this June. The pricing for these high-performance consoles has not yet been disclosed.
