Rainy and windy weather prevails in Uzbekistan during the week

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, the current workweek is expected to bring unstable and relatively cool weather. This was reported by the UzHydromet agency in its official statement. According to experts, cool and moist air masses will enter the country, resulting in rainy and windy days in some regions.

In central and eastern regions — short rain and thunderstorms

At the beginning of the week, temporary rain and active thunderstorms are expected in parts of central and eastern regions. Although short-term, these weather changes require caution from the population and drivers.

In the north, south, and deserts — stable weather

In the northern, southern, and desert areas of the country, mostly dry and sunny days will persist. However, on May 27 in Karakalpakstan and on May 28 in Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, short rain and thunderstorms may occur.

Wind intensification and possibility of dusty air

In some areas, wind speeds may reach 13–18 m/s. In certain regions, this may cause dust storms. Due to reduced visibility, citizens are advised to wear masks and limit time spent outdoors.

Temperature will drop, then rise again

Throughout the week, temperatures will fluctuate. On Monday, it is expected to be +27…+32°C, dropping to +22…+25°C on Tuesday. From May 28–30, it will rise again to +25…+30°C, and in some places up to +32°C.

Rainy days possible in Tashkent as well

In the capital, Tashkent, short rain and thunderstorms are possible on Monday, with temperatures around +29…+31°C. Tuesday is expected to be mostly stable, but light rain may fall in the evening, and temperatures will drop to +23…+25°C.

On Wednesday, rain may continue until morning. On the following days (May 29–30), mostly dry weather is expected, although brief showers may occur in the evenings or early mornings.
