Italian Prime Minister Visits Registan Ensemble and "Immortal City" Complex
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit, visited Registan Square in Samarkand, accompanied by Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The press service of the President reported this.

The world-famous Registan Square, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is the main visiting card of the country, reflecting the creative potential of its great ancestors. The Mirzo Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tillakori madrasahs in the complex leave a deep impression on guests with their grandeur, rich history and unique architecture.

The distinguished guest was provided with detailed information about the history of construction of this masterpiece of Eastern urbanism, the unique features of its architectural solutions and decorations, important events and personalities associated with this place, as well as the cultural heritage of the Uzbek people.


Then the heads of state visited the "Immortal City" historical and ethnographic park at the Silk Road Samarkand International Tourism Center. "Exhibitions reflecting the rich cultural heritage, crafts and applied arts of our people were viewed. A cultural program was presented, including performances by dance groups," the report says.
