June 12 Weather: Areas where rain is expected have been announced

The weather forecast for the Republic of Uzbekistan for June 12 was announced by Uzhydromet. Short-term rain, thunderstorms and dusty winds are expected in some regions of the country. It was announced that the circulation of moist air masses will persist throughout the working week and the risk of flooding will be extended until June 16.

In Tashkent the weather will be slightly cloudy and changeable from time to time. Short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in the second half of the day. The wind will blow from the east at a speed of 3–8 m/s, sometimes increasing to 10–12 m/s and may be accompanied by dust. The temperature will be around 21–23° at night, and 33–35° during the day.

In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm regions the weather will be slightly cloudy, but dry and warm. Precipitation is not expected. The wind may increase to 7–12 m/s, in some places to 13–18 m/s. There is a possibility of dusty winds. At night 17–22°, during the day 32–37°.

Similar weather will be observed in Bukhara and Navoi regions. The humidity level will be low, and the wind speed may be high in some places. Temperature: 20–25° at night, 32–37° during the day.

In Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh and Samarkand regions in the second half of the day, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in some places. The temperature at night will be 18–23°, during the day 30–35°.

In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions dry and warm weather will remain. Precipitation is not expected. The temperature will rise to 20–25° at night, and 33–38° during the day.

According to the weather forecast in Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions, rain and thunderstorms are possible during the day. The temperature at night will be 18–23°, during the day 30–35°.

In mountainous and hilly areas, there is a risk of rain and mudslides in some places. There is a possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms. Temperatures will be 12–17° at night, 23–28° during the day.

Recommendation: The population is advised to protect themselves from the sun, stay away from high places during thunderstorms, and exercise increased caution in mountainous areas. When planning your route in areas with a risk of mudslides, take weather information into account.
